The K2 Mindbender 90 C alliance offers a versatile platform designed to take you beyond the groomers. The highlighting characteristics are that it its light, playful and easy to maneuver, but don’t be fooled. This ski cans till crush it on the groomers at high speeds thanks to the Carbon elements that have been added to the core. The first of those being Spectral Braid, a Carbon Fiber weave that dictates the amount of stiffness and torsional flex of a specific segment of the ski. More specifically, the weave is tighter in the forebody and center of the ski which creates power, torsional stiffness and ultimately more stability and edge hold. A looser weave in the tail allows for more flex which adds releasability to the tail. This helps when you want to manipulate your turn shape into something a bit shorter or when you need a lot of pivot out of the ski in tighter terrain. The second Carbon element used in this ski is K2’s Carbon Boost which are Carbon fiber stringers that run along the length of the ski to add snap and pop to the flex of the ski which creates an energetic feel. The Mindbender 90 C Alliance uses an all-terrain rocker profile wherein there is rocker in the tip, camber underfoot and subtle rocker in the tail.
