Not every weekend involves staring down do-or-die lines, which is why Giro made the Switchblade’s chinbar removable. Snap it off quickly before you head out on a mellower trail ride and enjoy added ventilation from Giro’s Wind Tunnel design, included specifically to provide as much airflow as possible on hot, sunny climbs. Giro’s tried-and-true Roc Loc Air fit system makes an appearance on the Switchblade as well, but it comes tweaked to DH standards with a bumper protecting the dial from being unintentionally moved when it comes into contact with your pack or body armor.
